Coletivo crua
corpo-memória is a presentation of the projects developed within the FBAUL's discourses of contemporary photography postgraduate program (2024/2025) and is curated by António Júlio Duarte, Sérgio Mah, and the artists featured in the exhibition.
As Sérgio Mah, course coordinator, states:
"The works presented here span diverse personal and aesthetic universes, but they also highlight distinct ways of exercising the artistic possibilities of photography: between documentary representation and subjectivist and plastic recording; between the photographic, the sculptural, and the pictorial; between narrative suggestion and the revisiting of memory. It is significant that themes of the body, and consequently the critical evaluation of normative discourses on gender, sexuality, and cultural identities, emerge in many of the works included in this exhibition. But corporeality is equally important in the way different photographers exercise performativity in their creative processes of shooting and editing."
