KOLLETTIV[o]*
KOLLETTIV[o]* is an ongoing project of research around analog photography.
Structured in the form of a loose net, the project aims to shape a collective practice that travels between places, working as a circle without a fixed centre. It is a collaboration that unfolds into an ongoing process of production, mutual learning, and thinking.
The project grows from the necessity for physical space to make, experiment, and fail, meeting the desire to connect and resist isolation and detachment. This practice takes shape as an attempt to imagine collaborative modes of production and care as an answer to slowing down the accelerated rhythm of the digital. For the collective, medium and method become a whole, as the analogue practice is not only a technique but a way of working that shapes their pace.
Participation shifts over time, and KOLLETTIV[o]*’s aim is to stay informal without assuming fixed membership or a rigid structure.
Relying on intersections between people and places and spread across countries, the collective stands as an experiment in working at distance, in a continuous dynamic of dispersion and gathering, where the virtual becomes physical and ideas become matter.
The exhibition risonanze/resonanzen starts from the collective's personal archive. Through the mise en commun of materials, two lines unfold, characterized by the binaries of slow and fast, composed and random, darkroom and code, which resonate with one another. This collective project grows directly from the necessity for a physical space to make, experiment, and fail, meeting a shared desire to connect and actively resist isolation and detachment.
The concept of Atlas lingers in the background of the exhibition, where images are placed next to one another so that connections, tensions, and constellations can emerge. Within this setup, meaning is not fixed or already given but arises in the space between the works. The arrangement leaves behind authorship and invites a reading that moves directly on the surface, functioning as an attempt to imagine collaborative modes of production and care. Ultimately, this practice serves as an answer to slowing down the accelerated rhythm of the digital, where the analogue medium is not merely a technique, but a way of working that shapes their pace, allowing the virtual to become physical and ideas to become matter.
