EXHIBITION // TALKS
Apneia Colectiva
The multi-platform project “O Que Pisamos” (What We Tread Upon), curated by the artistic research and creation network Apneia Colectiva, presents six new productions spanning performance, video-photographic installations, publishing, and community-based performative practices.
The works operate at the intersection of performing and visual arts, exploring modes of fabulation around ancestry, local mythologies, labor systems, ecosystems, and geographies of wandering.
Moving from the core questions of the research: “What do we tread upon to live the way we live? What is extinguished beneath human footprints? How do human and non-human bodies sustain, inhabit, and occupy spaces? What narratives colonize the body?”, the exhibition activates a three-day critical investigation into ecological memory, the history of forests in Portugal, their geopolitical occupation, and the dynamics of migration.
Through phantasmagorias, ancestral archaeologies, and interactions with the
non-human, “O Que Pisamos” maps the territory and interrogates the official politics inscribed into the contemporary landscape.
